Northern Lights School in Cotswold was a beneficiary of the annual BLC Attorneys Charity Soccer Day. BLC Attorneys provided Grade 9 learner, Yamkelo Rapiya, with a Boccia ramp, which will allow him to participate in the Nedbank National Championship for the Physically Disabled in March.Boccia is a ball sport played at local, national and international levels by athletes with physical disabilities. 17 year old Rapiya, of Motherwell, has been playing Boccia for three years, and will be attending his first competition in Bloemfontein next month.BLC Attorneys raised funds for this ramp at an annual soccer day last year, which saw 15 corporates in Port Elizabeth battle it out for bragging rights on and off the field. Each Boccia ramp is specially designed and costs R3500.Northern Lights School was selected as a beneficiary of the fundraising event, together with the House of Resurrection in Salsoneville and the Nazareth House of Port Elizabeth.
